Measure over the clothing you plan to wear. The options and manufacturer details on an individual product page take priority over this general guide.

How to measure

Head / capAround the head just above the ears and eyebrows, where the cap band sits.
Chest / bustAround the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level under the arms.
NeckAround the base of the neck with one finger under the tape.
SleeveFrom the center back of the neck, over the shoulder, and down to the wrist.
HipsAround the fullest part of the hips with feet together.
InseamOn pants that fit, measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
BeltOrder approximately 2 inches larger than the waist measurement where the belt will sit.
GlovesAround the widest part of the dominant hand, excluding the thumb.

Pants, footwear, vests, and accessories

  • Pants: use the waist and inseam options shown on the product. Measure where the duty belt or waistband will sit.
  • Vests: measure your chest over the uniform and equipment worn underneath. Use the exact grouped-size range shown on the item.
  • Footwear: use the listed men's, women's, and width options. Measure while wearing your normal duty socks.
  • Caps: measure around the head where the cap band sits.
  • Gloves: measure the widest part of the hand and use the product-specific chart when one is provided.
